Taylor forest road temporarily closed | ABQ Journal<\/a> <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>By <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/main\/author\/abqnews\">ABQnews Staff<\/a> on Tue, Mar 26, 2013 <\/p>\n<p><b>POSTED:<\/b> 9:38 am <\/p>\n<p>The Cibola National Forest and Grasslands\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Mount Taylor Ranger District has closed parts of Forest Road 178 to motorized traffic from the junction of FR 178 and FR 180 to the junction of FR 178 and FR 480, forest officials said in a news release. <\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We have closed this road to protect the public as we work on a forest restoration and thinning project,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d District Ranger Matt Reidy said in the release. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Active and dangerous logging operations that include felling, skidding and loading log trucks will occur on the road.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/p>\n<p>The roughly 4 1\/2-mile stretch is expected to be closed until June 30. <\/p>\n<p>Alternative routes to access the Post Office Flats area include: FR 49 (Zuni Canyon Road) to FR 480; or FR 49 to FR 50 and then to FR 548 or FR 480, the release said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/main\/2013\/03\/26\/abqnewsseeker\/mt-taylor-forest-road-temporarily-closed.html\">\u00c2\u00bb Mt.
