\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u00e2\u20ac\u0153If people really get into it, they could be here two hours,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Evenly Johnson, the museum\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s executive director.<\/p>\n

Hidden away on Skyline Drive in view of Black Mountain, the
\nvolunteer-run, member-supported museum will open Oct. 3 for the fall
\nand winter season.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This museum almost draws you back in time,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Johnson.<\/p>\n

The collection is split into two galleries covering the history of the people who have lived in the Cave Creek area.<\/p>\n

A tour of the museum starts with the archaeology wing, which features
\npots recovered from local digs such as the Livingston and Ocotillo
\nsites.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This area is very rich in archaeology,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Johnson. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153If you know
\nwhat you are looking for, you will see it out in the desert.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

An entire wall is dedicated to the Hohokam, Anasazi and Mogollon
\npeoples. Their lives are dissected in a way that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s easy for children to
\nunderstand. The newly refurbished exhibit also features a replica of a
\nHohokam house and an activity center where children and adults can
\nlearn to grind corn for flour. …<\/p>\n
