As a way to reign off-road vehicle abuses and excesses, the Forest Service put forth the Travel Management Rule allowing each National Forest to designate what routes are open to motorized travel. The Sandia Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest is having another round of meetings on Tuesday, July 10 in Albuquerque and Wednesday, July 11 in Tijeras. They will have maps showing their proposed route designations. Critical input from those that support wild places and quiet recreation is crucial.
